Overview
Model EFM12N, 100BaseTX to 100BaseFX media converter, is an exceptionally small stand-alone unit designed to allow the network designer to add fiber segments as needed.
Description
EFM12N, 100BaseTX to 100BaseFX media converter, allows 100BaseTX specifications to be used over fiber cable.
Designed to meet the needs of today’s network planers to marry the Fast Ethernet performance with the benefits of fiber segments, the EFM12N media converter complies with the 100BaseTX 802.3u standard.
A complement of 6 LEDs display power for the unit plus link and receive on each segment. A wall mount 12 VDC power supply is supplied with the unit with 110- 240 Vac input.
The 100BaseTX side of the unit features a MDI/MDIX crossover switch that dispenses with any need for specially configured cables.
