Today EtherCom starts shipping it's ES series switches.

This combination of 100 Mbps fiber ports and dual speed RJ45 ports offer high flexibility. Fiber segments can be up to two kilometers in multi-mode, ten kilometers in single-mode, and are completely free of MI/RFI interface, grounding problems, and voltage spikes. Plus, the fiber cable is also immune to electronic eavesdropping. The 10/100 ports provide connectivity to legacy 10 Mbps workgroups and enable you to upgrade to 100 Mbps on a cost-effective, as needed basis.

Switches used in place of hubs will greatly increase the performance of your network. Ethercom's new technology allows you to invest in these switches for the same or less then what you have been paying for a hub.
