Product Overview

EtherCom's ETP1020 with its fault tolerant function has been engineered for use in applications where connectivity integrity is crucial. This makes this unit ideal for medical, banking, industrial control, telecommunications, nuclear installations, security, law enforcement and military applications where network signal integrity is essential.

Product Description

The ETP1020 Fault Tolerant Transceiver (FTT) has an RJ45 to connect to the network device and two RJ45s for user selecable primary and secondary cable segments. The FTT hunts between these two segments to ensure that data can be transmitted at all times because the user has now added a fault tolerant redundent path. These two segments can be connected to a second ETP1020 or two ports of a standard 10BaseT Hub.The added insurance of dual power supply inputs makes the ETP1020 the first choice of MIS professionals with critical applications.

The user selectable parameter options, half or full duplex, segment A or B priority, hunt speeds of 2.5 or 10 seconds and ETP1020 to ETP1020 or ETP1020 to hub, makes this unit exceptionally flexible and ideal for many different applications.

Power supplies are available for ether 110 VAC or 230 VAC.

Monitoring of the unit is simple with a complement of 10 LEDs that display LK (link) and REC (receive) on each RJ45, ENBL (enable) on segments A & B, global COL (collision) and PWR (power).

Each RJ45 connector has its own crossover switch allowing installation with standard twisted pair cables and eliminating the need for bothersome cross over cables.
