Overview

These 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 Port Dual Speed switches feature combinations of auto negotiating 10/100 and 100BaseFX fiber ports.
The 10/100 ports are ideal for interfacing with legacy 10 Mbps work groups or upgrading a 10 Mbps network to 100 Mbps on a cost effective as needed basis.
The fiber ports allow you to introduce up to 10 km segments that are completely free of EMI/RFI interference, grounding problems and voltage spikes plus the cable is immune to electronic eavesdropping.
All this makes these extremely flexible switches well suited for building campus type networks. The aggressive price points of the ES series makes it necessary to seriously consider these switches for your next project.

Description

Each 1RJ45 port can operate without regard to the other ports at 10 or 100 Mega bits per second (Mbps) and 20 or 200 in full duplex mode. Because these products are switches, not a hubs, bandwidth is not sheared amongst the ports, switch ports are capable of operating at full band width. The auto-negotiation feature, allows the switches to recognize the speed of the network adapter card that it is connected to, and self configure itself, to that speed.
All ports support multiple MAC addresses, with a total of 8 K for all eight ports.
