|
General Description EtherCom’s ERMFT1009 with its fault tolerant function
has been engineered for use in applications where connectivity integrity is critical. This makes this unit ideal for medical,
banking, industrial control, telecommunications, nuclear installations,
security, law enforcement and military applications where network signal
integrity is essential. This Fiber version
of our successful FTT technology greatly extends distances and offers
immunity from electronic eves-dropping. |
Introduction The ERMFT1009 is a 100 Mbps Fault Tolerant
Transceiver (FTT) That plugs into EtherCom’s ERM21C,
21 slot chassis. Built to IEEE 802.3 standards to ensure interoperability
with other devices from other manufactures. It has one RJ45 and two connectors, this lets you connect three cables to the unit
to create a redundant data path with the third cable. |
The Fiber Cables can be
placed through different geographical paths, ensuring data transfer
protection should one cable be faulty, cut, damaged or pulled. The cables can
run from one ERMFT1009 to an other ERMFT1009 or from an ERMFT1009 to any two
ports of a standard 100 Mbps Ethernet hub or switch.
Our EFM12 FX to TX media converters can be utilized for this. |
