                                                                                                                    * Eight 100BaseTX Class II Ports provide 100 Mbps for high bandwidth requirements.

                                                                                                                     * IEEE802.3u compatibility to ensure interoperability with other standard network products.

                                                                                                                     * Two hubs can be cascaded for a total of 14 ports per segment.

                                                                                                                      * 18 LEDs for system monitoring & management.

                                                                                                                     * Simple plug & play installation. No switches, jumpers or software to configure.

                                                                                                                     * Compact enough, about the size of a video cassette, for desk top installation.

                                                                                                                    * Hardware for ‘Rack Mounting’ is included.

                                                                                                                    * Can be used with existing 10BaseT Category 5 cabling.

Product Description

Ten times the speed of existing 10BaseT networks, the EFH80TX brings you tomorrow’s performance right now. Ideal for connecting bandwidth hungry work stations, network servers and graphics application users, the EFH80TX can be cascaded with a second unit to provide a total of 14 ports per segment. Because the 100BaseTX standard calls for Category 5 UTP cabling, most installations can install the EFH80TX with no changes to the existing cabling infrastructure.

Application Information

The EFH80TX complies with the IEEE 802.3u standard for 100BaseTX Class II hubs and supports a half duplex, 100 Mbps data rate. Use of the EFH80TX in an existing network is virtually transparent, except for the increased speed the user experiences. All existing network software can be used, as the hardware is responsible for taking the data link information and transmitting or receiving it at the 100 Mbps rate. The compatibility with IEEE 802.3u 100BaseT standard ensures interoperability with other compatible products from other vendors. The EFH80TX has an auto-partition of ports and reconnection after failure resolution feature.
